This paper describes the benefits and roadblocks of solar power backup systems for residential use, specifically within the United States’ Gulf Coast area. As the prominence of climate change legislation rises, so do the tax incentives, which makes the cost prohibitive nature of the initial installment of solar systems less so. The installation of such a system would be recommended, based on the research presented in this paper.

Companies in competitive industries find themselves in positions of needing to provide quality goods and services in ways that are efficient in terms of both production and cost. Because of this pressure toward efficiency, the Ford Motor Company, among many others, has had to reorganize its operational strategy. We analyze the ten strategic operational areas in which Ford made improvements, and we then go on to apply this framework to other sectors, including the energy sector. In doing so, we give recommendations for ProRate Energy Inc.’s innovative rate design, called ProRate/CLEP, which can benefit and improve operational efficiencies in implementing this innovative time-of-use rate design.

With advancements in technology and rising costs in general, corporations may have more choices than ever in how to train their employees, but they are also paying more than ever for that training. These corporations are also more generationally diverse, being comprised of Baby Boomers, Generation Xers, Generation Y/Millennials, and Generation Z; companies must ensure that training is effective

The purpose of this qualitative case study was to describe how participating in the ISPI University Case Study competition influenced student learning. Authentic learning experiences provide learners with an instructional opportunity to apply previously obtained knowledge and skills to a simulated yet authentic work environment. The population for the study was limited to students who participated in ISPI University Case Study Competitions in the years 2010, 2014, and 2019. All students were online graduate students enrolled in a performance improvement degree program from a single participating university.
