Welcome to our new issue of Performance Improvement Journal (PIJ)! As we have also entered the new fiscal year for ISPI, we will also be continuing our transition for our contributing authors to submit their manuscripts via Peer Track. This transition is intended to help streamline our submission, review, editing, and publication, so we look forward to your feedback as we implement these needed process improvements.

My thoughts …

We are quickly moving towards a great deal of change across ISPI, as we have recently welcomed new Board members who are bringing forth new ideas and initiatives for our Society. Though change may often be perceived with caution and maybe even suspicion, our profession is changing, and our Board is working to be responsive in real time. This will likely bring new and engaging approaches to our work, as well as what is put forth in our publications, as well as our annual conference. With that said, here is a listing of what you will find in this issue of PIJ.

Syed Adeel Ahmed and Christopher Prevou share Solar Backup for Residential Uses.

Operations Management Structure Applied in Pricing Rate Design Implementation is also shared by Syed Adeel Ahmed and Brendan Moore.

Generational Learning Differences in Corporate Training is presented by Meghan Jefferson and Zane Berge.

Holley L. Handley, Nancy B. Hastings, and Megan Sauer share their findings in Authentic Learning Experiences Provided Through the ISPI Case Study Competition.

Lastly, we once again are offered the opportunity to “Know Your Colleagues.”
