As we have been working hard to achieve our publication goals after the pandemic, we welcome you the last issue for Volume 62. While we are already drafting the first issue of Volume 63, we are also refining our review and publication processes to better serve our authors and of course, our readers. Each of the members of our Publications Team is incredibly grateful to serve.

Research has established that employees with a more incremental mindset are more likely to be related to positive work outcomes than are those with a more entity mindset. However, although an incremental mindset is often ideal, entity mindset individuals and situational factors that run counter to the incremental mindset do exist and need to be managed effectively. Utilizing an experimental design with a sample of 170 and building on research on employee fit, this study looks at how the relationship between mindset and performance could be influenced by the fit with the manager’s goal orientation. Specifically, those with an entity mindset performed better when they appeared to fit better with their manager’s goal orientation than did those with an incremental mindset.

The article discusses the implementation of data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of learning and performance improvement. While it emphasizes the potential benefits of AI in personalized learning, process automation, and so forth, it also raises important considerations, such as data privacy, ethical usage, and intellectual property challenges associated with AI-generated content. The article presents a case study that demonstrates the effectiveness of personalized learning interventions in a real-world context. The article suggests several ways for individuals in the learning and performance improvement industry to embrace AI, including acquiring new skills, staying updated with industry advancements, experimenting with AI tools, and contributing to discussions and publications. In conclusion, the article highlights the transformative power of data analytics and AI in learning and performance improvement while emphasizing the need for responsible and ethical usage in this rapidly evolving field.

Constructivism advances the notion that the learner constructs his/her learning through interaction with the environment where the learner applies prior knowledge and experiences to new and novel situations. Montessori instructional strategies should be used with young children and then as students gain self-learning and self-disciplinary skills, they should be provided opportunities to use the Probe Method for higher-level thinking combined with the investigation of specific content and any accompanying problems.
